Streaming brand Elgato’s EpocCam app, which lets you turn your iPhone into a webcam for your Mac or PC, now natively supports Snap Lens augmented reality filters. Parent company Corsair Gaming announced the update on Thursday.

The change is the result of a Corsair partnership with Snap. The latter already provides native filters in its Snap Camera software and the Snapchat app.

EpocCam adds 15 AR Snap lenses

EpocCam now adds a total of 15 Snap Lenses. They include customizable filters, virtual backgrounds, and virtual masks.

“Become your digital avatar, color your hair, interact with animated characters and more,” promises Elgato’s website.

The company said it will add more filters over time and that the Snap Lenses will work with the free version of EpocCam and its $ 7.99 Pro version.

Transform into streaming or meeting

Elgato said that EpocCam allows your iPhone to become your webcam in a range of services, including Teams, Zoom, and OBS Studios.

This suggests that the filters should be able to change your appearance in any case, whether you are broadcasting or attending a business call. It may have been possible before with the cam and Snap apps, but now it’s integrated into a single software product.

You can get EpocCam as a free download on iOS. The Pro version at $ 7.99 includes additional features, such as using your iPhone’s microphone. It also removes the software watermark from your feed.

Price: free or $ 7.99 for the Pro version
