through 3 quarters
Although the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors were the underdogs at kickoff, they have since taken control of the game. Three quarters and their offense really knew how to impose its will, dominating the Colorado State Rams 36-17 in three quarters.
Hawaii capitalized on the performance of QB Chevan Cordeiro, who had two touchdowns and 354 yards on 36 attempts in addition to having a touchdown. The team received additional help from defensive threat DB Chima Azunna and his nine tackles.
No one has had an outstanding offensive game for Colorado State, but they did have scores from TE Gary Williams and TE Cam Butler. One of the most exciting moments was receiving a 69-yard touchdown by Butler in the first quarter.
The Rainbow Warriors’ lead is the biggest they’ve had this season heading into the fourth quarter.

What there is to know
The Colorado State Rams and Hawaii Rainbow Warriors will face off in a matchup in Mountain West at 11 p.m. ET on November 20 at the Clarence TC Ching Complex. Both teams suffered a loss in their last game, so they will have a lot of motivation to get the “W”.
Colorado State fell to the Air Force Falcons last week, losing 35-21. No one has had a stellar game offensively for the Rams, but RB David Bailey led the way with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, everything was tied 10-10 at halftime, but Hawaii wasn’t quite tied with the UNLV Rebels in the second half when they met last week. The Rainbow Warriors took a 27-13 hit in the loss column. A silver lining for them was the play of WR Nick Mardner, who caught four passes for a touchdown and 119 yards. One of the most exciting moments was Mardner receiving a 79-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
This next game is expected to be close, with Colorado State just 3 points away. Now might not be the best time to take on Colorado State ATS as they’ve let punters down for the past four straight games.
Colorado State is now 3-7 while the Rainbow Warriors are 4-7. Two defensive stats to keep in mind as you watch: The Rams are 193rd worst nationally in TDs allowed, with 17 over the season. Hawaii has seen its own struggles as it stumbles in the contest with the 225th most rushed touchdowns allowed in the nation, after dropping 22 during the season. It’s possible that one of those Achilles’ heels will end up tripping the losing team.
